We are a rapidly growing therapy practice in the heart of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina (a bedroom community of Raleigh) specializing in couples therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) through a Christian counseling lens. Our team is committed to providing the highest quality mental health services with a focus on serving the military, combat veterans, and first responders.

What We Offer:

Competitive compensation ($55 to $100 per clinical hour) based on credentials and experience and $20 per administrative hour as a W2 employee.

Team atmosphere – in-person group practice reducing the feelings of isolation.

Full administrative and marketing support – we have an administrative staff to assist with inquiries and scheduling. This is the perfect position for a therapist looking for a private practice setting without the stresses of running their own business.

Client referrals from marketing with website presence, clinical training, and social media. We regularly schedule new intakes determined by therapist availability and client request.

Flexible scheduling with options that balance therapist and client availability. As needed, therapists may take vacation and sick time.

Weekly supervision/consultation led by the Clinical Manager: PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, and ICEEFT Certified EFT Trainer, Supervisor, and Therapist.

Any clinical training events VCTC hosts (e.g., EFT events) you will have the opportunity to learn as a participant free of charge.

Empower Clients: Provide exceptional therapy services to individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate life’s challenges and achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
-
Preset with warmth and professionalism in interactions with the VCTC team, the community, prospective clients, and clients.

A desire to work predominantly with couples.
-
Build and maintain a caseload of 20 direct clinical hours per week or more while working at least two afternoons/evenings per week.

Record therapy sessions for supervision.

Attend a weekly supervision/staff meeting.
-
Must be able to accept, reflect on, and integrate feedback with a desire to continue to master clinical skills.

Ability to manage under stressful situations. For example, assisting clients in crisis without adding to the situation with personal emotional reactivity.

Familiarity with, or a willingness to be trained on, Google Workspace.
-
Familiarity with, or a willingness to be trained on, SimplePractice Electronic Health Record. Complete progress notes with 24 hours of appointments.

Respond to all internal and client communication promptly within 24 hours.

Strong writing and grammatical skills to produce relevant blog posts on relationships (citing references).

Open to networking with other professionals and providing follow up correspondence.
What We’re Looking For:

Licensed Therapist: Hold a valid license in psychotherapy (LMFT, LCMHC, LCSW) in North Carolina.

Couples Therapist: Ideal candidate will have completed a 4-Day Externship in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT).

Experience & Expertise: Demonstrated experience in providing therapy services, with a strong understanding of evidence-based couples therapy models.

Compassion & Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and a deep commitment to client-centered care.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment.
