Join our energetic, family-centered pediatric clinic as a Supervising Speech-Language Pathologist at one of two clinics locate in the DFW Metroplex! At Excel Pediatric Therapy, we provide high-quality, play-based care to children with a wide range of communication needs — all within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced SLP who loves mentorship and wants to step into a leadership role without the demands of a full patient caseload. As the supervising SLP, you’ll lead and support a tight-knit team of speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs) — providing clinical oversight, guidance, and development while ensuring every child receives personalized, research-backed care.

Our clinic is open Monday through Thursday only, and this position offers exceptional flexibility and work-life balance. Schedule

  • Full-time 
  • Monday – Thursday
    • 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM in-clinic or remote as needed for supervision
  • Friday
    • Remote

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of SLPAs delivering speech and language therapy in a pediatric outpatient setting
  • Guide the development of treatment plans and communication goals tailored to each child’s unique needs
  • Review and co-sign SLPA documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clinical excellence
  • Monitor patient progress and collaborate with assistants to make treatment adjustments as needed
  • Support SLPAs with ongoing clinical training, coaching, and real-time problem solving
  • Communicate regularly with families to support patient goals and maintain care continuity
  • Collaborate closely with PT, OT, and admin teams in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Maintain organized records of supervision and ensure alignment with licensure board requirements
  • Stay informed on current research and best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology
  • Contribute to clinical process improvement and help build scalable systems as the clinic grows

Required Skills

  • Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Minimum of 3 years of pediatric experience (supervisory or mentorship experience strongly preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, language, and pragmatic skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Comfortable using EMR systems and reviewing documentation for clinical accuracy and compliance
  • Passion for developing others and supporting a growing therapy practice
  • Desire for career advancement in a leadership-focused role
